And then you can trigger your custom assembled drum kit using the EZ Player Pro. But when their Superior Drummer 2.0 came out, they basically created SD2.0 to be a drum sound module that has the ability to use the EZX Kits as they are or to make your own drum kit made up of the different drum sounds from whichever EZX you own. I have EZ Drummer installed and used to use it exclusively with several of the EZX Kits. If you are ultimately interested in the MIDI files player aspect of EZ Drummer (which is what I loved about it) but want to play other drum samples other than the other Toontrack EZX Expansion Drum Kits.that's where their EZ Player Pro comes in check it out EZ Player Pro is essentially the MIDI file playback engine stripped as a separate application that allows you to trigger other drum samplers.
(remember to have a corresponding audio track for both EZD and AD to output to). Viola! EZDrummer kit with Addictive Drum HiHat. Just split out the HiHat midi notes from your EZD midi controller track and assign them to your Addictive Drums HiHat midi note. But you love a certain HiHat from your Addictive Drums package. Again, say you like every sound from your EZDrummer except your HiHat. But you can trigger non-EZD individual kit pieces from the EZD midi controller track's notes.with a little "hoop jumping". You cannot save a new EZD kit with samples from multiple sources. First, EZDrummer is controlled by a midi track which triggers it's individual kit pieces.right? So, if you want say, a different snare sound from some other drum package you have, either delete the notes that are triggering the EZD snare from it's controller track and record a new "snare only track" which is sent to your other drum package OR split out the EZD snare notes to a new midi track and assign it to your other drum package's snare.
